So many things to catch up on with the blog, lots of shoots including 2 gorgeous weddings!

Firstly though, a MASSIVE thank you to all who exhibited and visited The MUMs (Maternity Users Montrose) Baby Show at the weekend. The event raised over £1100 for Montrose Maternity Unit, and was a great success for all involved!

The MUMs Baby Show, Sunday 23rd May 2010

We are delighted to be working with the Maternity Users Montrose (MUMs) Group on their next fundraising event, The MUMs Baby Show to be held at The Park Hotel, Montrose on Sunday 23rd May.

30+ exhibitors covering all essentials for bump & beyond, the event is set to be a great day for all!

We'll also be holding a raffle on the day with lots of great prizes already confirmed....for anyone who would like to donate a prize it will be gratefully received, so please get in touch if you'd like to help!

Jillian & Neil's Pre-Wedding Shoot

It's a busy time with pre-wedding shoots at the moment, this time with Jillian & Neil. A typical cold wind, but we still got some great shots down at Lunan with the two of them....and not forgetting Oscar who also joined in! Another great shoot this week, this time it was Sara & Craig's pre-wedding shoot and we headed down to Lunan Bay...not quite ideal paddling weather, but they still went along with whatever I told them to do!! Look forward to showing you the rest of them soon guys!

Amber & Holly's Birthday Party

Last weekend saw us hosting a birthday photo party for Amber & Holly. Each of them got to bring their best friend along with them, and we did a whole mix of individuals & the friends together. After a fairly quiet start the girls soon woke up and lots of posing followed with dressing up and pj party to finish! Even big brother Liam got roped into getting a few photos done. Seemed to be a great success, being called their best birthday party ever...glad we could help!

Lauren owns Balmedie based Flawless Beauty and having met up with her again at the recent wedding exhibition, she contacted me to shoot some images for her upcoming fundraising expedition to Lapland, where she and her partner Mark will cross the country on a husky trail. To get a few tips (and more importantly to get an idea of what they've let themselves in for!) they met up with sled racers Val & Kevin, and we grabbed a few shots while we there.

Saturday saw me down in Peebles for Gayle & Phil's wedding. Despite leaving Montrose in mist and cloud, it kept brightening and by the time we got to 2pm it was a beautiful autumn day, meaning we managed to make the most of Cringletie's grounds. Both Gayle & Phil were so relaxed, which in turn made for a great day and this shows throughout the photos from the day. Hope you have a fab honeymoon and see you when you get back!

Been a while since I've posted anything, so a few shoots to catch up on!

Having met up with Fiona & Colin a few months ago for their pre-wedding shoot, October soon came round and before we knew it the wedding was here! Although it was a beautifully sunny day, unfortunately I think they managed to pick the windiest day possible! Never the less, everyone enjoyed the day and we managed to get some great shots around Kings College Chapel where they held the ceremony, and then up at Ardoe House for the reception. Fiona looked absolutely stunning, and it was great to work with them both again.

Melanie & Scott chose Ardoe House in Aberdeen for their wedding, and compared to the weather we've had through the rest of the summer, they were lucky enough to get a dry day and hold the ceremony outside in the grounds as planned. It was a lovely day, and the relaxed nature of both of them really made it a great day for all. I think Mel was possibly my most excited bride to date!

Down to St Cyrus beach this time, and although it was a bit windy, luckily we managed to avoid the heavy rain we've had recently. Even with their sister holding onto them both the boys still struggled with running down the hill as you'll see! It wasn't quite as warm as the last few trips to the beach, but this didn't stop us paddling...even the little one didn't want to miss out!

More great weather for Dawn & Jimmy's wedding at Laurencekirk and then the Glenesk Hotel in Edzell. The morning started with a few spots of rain, but true to form, Dawn arrived a few minutes late to the church which meant that the sun came out just as they exited the church. It was a great day, and there was definitely influence from Jimmy's refereeing which saw several mentions throughout the day, including use of the red and yellow cards during the ceremony!

Another beautiful day for a wedding, and this time it was Lyndsey & Andrew's. They chose the gorgeous setting of Rufflets Country House just outside St Andrews for their day, and much to Lyndsey's delight the weather was perfect for their ceremony to be held outside in the grounds. Being a big shoe fan, she was even more delighted to have a pair of Jimmy Choos bought especially for the wedding, and these were one of the important photos to be taken! Having done a pre-wedding shoot with them back in April, they were both really relaxed about the photography which makes a big difference, and I think this shows. A couple of weeks ago I met up with Fiona & Colin while they were back in Scotland for a few days for their pre-wedding shoot. We decided to meet at Dunnottar Castle for our shoot, and kept fingers crossed that the weather would hold....and it did...until we got to the entrance anyway! Luckily the rain soon passed, and we even managed to get some blue sky for the photos. Hopefully we'll have a little less wind for the wedding in October!

So what do you do in the days between getting back from Honeymoon and going back to work? Get your wedding dress back on of course!!

Having seen some images done with previous brides, Kirsty decided she wanted to do just this. So with blue skies similar to the wedding day itself, we headed up to Dunnottar Castle and then to St Cyrus beach on the way home. This of course meant a little bit of paddling...but then what else would you do at the beach! Kirsty, you were a star...hope you like them!

Saturday was a gorgeous day, perfect for the wedding of Kirsty & Marc. The ceremony was held at St Mary's & St Peter's Church in Montrose, before the couple and their guests headed off to the stunning Guthrie Castle for their reception. So much work and attention to detail was put into this wedding, and it really showed. Kirsty's sister Lindsey had given them a 'message tree' as a wedding gift, and it was out at the reception for their friends and family to add to...Lindsey put so much effort into making this, especially the beading, but it was well worth it and was a gorgeous alternative to a guestbook. All of their photos will be online once Kirsty & Marc have seen them, but here's a few from the day...

Spring/Summer Grampian Wedding Directory Shoot

We were delighted to be asked to shoot the cover and editorial shots for the Spring/Summer 09 edition of Grampian Wedding Directory. It was great to do something a little different, and luckily none of us let the heavy snow showers from the days before worry us! Bridalwear was supplied by Louise Lontano Bridal, Kilts from McCalls, Hair by Lindsay Steel & Make-Up by Rae Mathieson.
